Strategic Brand Partners is led by Nathan Birch, former CEO of Interbrand Australia & New Zealand and one of the most experienced brand strategists in the Asia-Pacific region.

Over a career spanning more than 25 years, Nathan has led brand strategy for some of the world's most iconic organisations — from Telstra, Coles and Westpac, SBS, Toll and Sydney Opera House, to international clients like Xero, Allianz, SJ Group, Minor Hotels and the Kering Group, professional sports franchises, and Big Four consulting firms.

Strategic Brand Partner was founded on a deliberate premise: that the market needed a practice built exclusively for the highest-order brand decisions — strategy and architecture — and that those decisions deserved world-class intellectual rigour, not generalist process. And that AI, applied with discipline, could make that practice faster, deeper, and more commercially impactful than anything the traditional model could produce.

 

With a growing family, Nathan moved to Australia in 2007. Holding senior strategy, brand, digital, and innovation roles at GE, Orange UK, KPMG, Deloitte Digital, and Nine Entertainment, he became CEO of Interbrand in 2017 and led the strategy and creative team in developing some of Australia's most iconic brands. 

A lover of old Land Rovers, Labradors and Liverpool FC, Nathan is also a commentator for Rowing Australia, a competitive rower and a global ambassador for Movemeber's Distinguished Gentlemens Ride and Drive.
